William has over 30 years experience in the security industry, both in Ireland and abroad. William worked in Australia for 16 years as Contracts Manager with Maxpro Systems, the manufacturer of the high-end Max-1000 system currently installed in the IFSC. He was responsible for such projects as the integrated installation of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm Systems at Sydney Casino , Argyle Diamond Mines in Western Australia and Shanghai Prison in Singapore .
William was relocated from Australia to the UK by his Company in 1997, where he ran the UK Division of Maxpro and was involved in the design of the CCTV systems for various sites such as Canary Wharf Site (approx. 1200 cameras), Sellafield Nuclear Plant (approx 200 cameras), Thorness Nuclear Plant and Kilmarnoch High Security Prison. William was also involved in the design and project management of the upgrade of ntl's total nation-wide Intruder, CCTV, Access Control and Plant Alarm Management Systems
On return to Ireland , William formed Wilec (fire & security) Ltd as he realised that there was an opening for a security company dedicated to the complex, high-end security market. The company provides a highly professional service, custom design, installation and after-sales care of a range of Electronic Security, Fire & Environmental Alarm Systems.
Through William's personal dedication and commitment, Wilec (fire & security) Ltd has achieved a high standard of recognition and the custom of many respected organisations including local government bodies, facilities management and pharmaceutical companies and various other blue chip organisations.
